It is not uncommon for celebrities, especially female stars, to be humiliated by viewers and the media. Some of the biggest stars have dealt with it, including Raveena Tandon and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan – two stunning stars. The former, which has just emerged from the huge success of KGF: Chapter 2 has previously been open about fat-shaming. Now, she recalls a momentous incident in which she stood up for Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who was insensitively criticized for gaining weight after daughter Aaradhya gave birth . Likewise, Tandon was criticized after giving birth to his son.
Raveena Tandon talked about body shaming in a recent interview with a major portal, saying: “I’ve put on a lot of weight, I’ve just had my son and I’ve started working again. They’re shaming me, they’re shaming Essie Waya Rai. I said we just had a baby. I want to breastfeed my baby, I don’t want to go on a diet.”
After Aishwarya Rai Bachchan gave birth to her first child, Raveena tweeted for her: “Everybody’s body is different, as long as she takes her time. Okay. It’s her space, first and foremost her obligations to her kids. Not some part of the media, who decides what Ash should do to herself and her kids and when? Superficial and double standards, don’t know Will they do the same?”
