Vitalik donates $4 million to UNSW for pandemic testing kits
Co-founder Vitalik Buterin has donated $4 million (USDC) to the University of New South Wales (UNSW) to support the development of a pandemic detection tool.
The funding, roughly equivalent to $5.3 million, is part of Buterin’s self-described “moon shot to fight COVID”, dubbed Balvi Charitable Fund and meme coin project (SHIB) and cryptographic relief.
