Paris (Reuters)-France has included the United States on its COVID-19 travel “red list”, which means that unvaccinated people entering the country will have to quarantine for 10 days.

For fully vaccinated people entering France from the United States, the rules will not change: they must still show proof of a negative test before boarding the plane.

This move makes the United States, like Russia, Afghanistan, Belarus, and Serbia, and other countries like Russia, Afghanistan, Belarus, and Serbia, the number of new infections exceeds 300,000 people every day due to the Omicron variant.

France is also struggling to deal with a record number of new infections, with 200,000 cases reported every day for the past four days.
