The Sacramento Kings basketball player posted a note on his Instagram story on Monday, saying that a paternity test proved that he had a baby with fitness model Maralee Nichols in December.
“I take full responsibility for my actions,” he wrote. “Now that a parent-child relationship has been established, I look forward to raising our son amicably. I sincerely apologize to everyone who has been hurt or disappointed in this ordeal, whether publicly or privately.”
Thompson specifically apologized to Kardashian. Kardashian is the mother of his three-year-old daughter True. According to reports, when he had a relationship with Nichols, he had a relationship with Kardashian.
“Khloé, you don’t deserve this,” he wrote. “You are not worthy of the heartache and humiliation that I have brought you. You are not worthy of my treatment of you for so many years. My behavior must not be in line with my opinion of you.”
“I have the greatest respect and love for you,” he added. “No matter what you think. Again, I’m very sorry.”
Kardashian representatives declined to comment on CNN.
According to reports, Thompson and Kardashian broke up in the summer.
The paternity test was conducted after Nichols filed a paternity test lawsuit against Thompson in Los Angeles last year.
Thompson also has a 5-year-old son Prince and ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig.
