TikTok uses Amazon’s Fire TV Test its application Regarding last year’s big screen, it’s no surprise that its app was officially launched on the platform in the United States and Canada earlier this month. Now, video-centric social networks have Unfold The app’s availability and promotion to Google TV, other Android TV devices, LG Smart TVs and Samsung Smart TVs.
Although the app will still play bite-sized videos in its original vertical form-this is given because TikTok clips are shot for mobile users-the service aims to provide a large-screen viewing experience for the entire family. When you access TikTok on a mobile device, the elements you see superimposed on the video itself have been rearranged to take advantage of the TV’s larger display and horizontal orientation. Like its mobile app, if you log into your account, the TV app will allow you to access the “For You” and “Following” feeds. You will also find a “discover” page to find more videos and creators you haven’t followed yet.
When TikTok announced last year that it was testing TV apps on Fire TV, Nick Tran, head of global marketing, said in a statement:
“People are now looking for communities, and TikTok is connecting users with content and with people who resonate with them and make sense to them. We have been thinking about what it means to connect with our users by using streaming media devices such as Fire TV And how we can provide them with more dynamic experiences, we think bringing our content to TV to some extent is a natural next step.”
