T-Mobile will pay $19.5 million in settlement for 12-hour 911 interruption

T-Mobile also encountered problems when accessing the fiber link remotely.

This is not the first time T-Mobile has dealt with a 911 failure. It received $17.5 million in compensation for its failure in 2014.

We have asked T-Mobile for comments. The FCC stated that the operator responded to issues related to the power outage in a “timely” manner, so this is not a controversial issue. It’s not that the company may fight a settlement that won’t have a significant impact on its finances. Whether you like it or not, it doesn’t help people who can’t get full help in times of crisis.
