Syria accuses Israel of launching an “air aggression” from the Mediterranean.

Two civilians were injured in an Israeli attack on the coast south of Syria’s Tartus on Saturday, the Syrian Defense Ministry said.

Damascus accused Tel Aviv of launching an “air aggression” from across the Mediterranean Sea west of the northern Lebanese city of Tripoli, with several missiles aimed south of Tartus.

“The Israeli enemy carried out an air strike near the town of al-Hamidiyah at around 6:30 a.m.,” the ministry said in a statement, identifying the location of the attack as a poultry farm, without elaborating.

This “resulted in the injury of two civilians, including a woman,” the statement said.
