A new popular Snapchat filter paints users as a weeping, weeping mess – leading the internet to believe it may have been hacked amber heard …a theory that is complete nonsense.
If you use the Ghost app a lot, you’ve probably seen this feature by now – it’s an augmented reality lens that you can toss over your mug to turn your facial expressions into a comical sadness and emotion The facial expressions…and it’s got kids addicted because a lot of these videos have gone viral now.
As popular as it may be… it’s also the reason for new rumors/jokes – ie, Snapchat gimmicks must use Amber cried last week Here as a booth for blueprints.
While speculation is rampant, what we’re here to tell you is…a Snap spokesperson told TMZ there’s no fact at all, the lens was inspired by Amber Heard, and if you think about it logically – it just doesn’t add up.
We’re told this particular filter – just released on Friday – has been in the works for 6 months…so it was developed before Amber gave her tearful testimony. What’s more, Snapchat tells us they’ll never be vague about the DV case.
Another way of saying this is that it has nothing to do with Amber…in fact Snap dropped an exact opposite filter (big smiley faces) not too long ago, so naturally – sad faces would follow.

Like we said, the crying face filter has been all the rage since it debuted last week — it’s racked up over 1.3 billion impressions on Snapchat, we’re told — and it’s used specifically in NFL circles, some of which The league’s big stars had a lot of fun shedding fake tears for their followers and friends…honestly, it was pretty funny.
What’s not funny…spreading fake news and misinformation – AH’s connection is just that.
