Simone Byers withdraws from vaulting and uneven bars in the Olympic final

Tokyo-The United States Gymnastics team stated that Simone Byers has decided to withdraw from the Olympic vault and uneven bars finals.

She continues to be evaluated daily to determine whether she will participate in the finals of floor exercise and balance beam.

Byers said that when she withdrew from a gymnastics team competition after a rotation, she put her mental health first. The American woman won the silver medal there. She also decided not to participate in the all-around competition. American Sunisa Lee won the gold medal in that competition.

MyKayla Skinner has the fourth highest vaulting result in the qualifying competition. She will participate in the American vault finals with Jade Carey, who has the second highest result. Byers is the defending champion of the Olympic vault.
