Ryan Fitzpatrick undergoes hip surgery

Ryan Fitzpatrick Will undergo surgery his Hip injury on Tuesday-according to multiple reports, officially ended any chance of the Washington quarterback returning this season.

Fitzpatrick, 39, is already expected to recover from his injuries this year. Last month, coach Ron Rivera said that after reports that the veteran’s season may be over, Fitzpatrick “tends” to stop playing in 2021. But now, the operation will help him stay out for an extra period of time.

According to the National Football League Network, the operation will help Fitzpatrick’s hip injury heal. Fitzpatrick has been injured because he suffered a hip subluxation in the second quarter of the team’s first game of the season against the Los Angeles Chargers. Fitzpatrick signed a one-year, $10 million contract, and he completed only 3 of 6 passes in 13 yards before the injury.

Washington has chosen Tyler Haynik as a replacement for Fitzpatrick. Hynek has played well recently, helping the team climb out of the 2-6 hole and improve this season’s record to 6-6.

After the season, Fitzpatrick will become a free agent. He did not publicly say whether he intends to continue his NFL career.

The NFL network first reported the news of Fitzpatrick’s operation.
