Friday night’s game between the Colorado Rockies and Washington Nationals was postponed due to strong storms expected in the Washington area.
The game will be played on Saturday at 12:05 pm as part of the doubles. Saturday’s scheduled game moved from 4:05pm to 6:05pm
At 6:40 p.m., 25 minutes before the first pitch, when the postponement was announced at a press conference, it was not raining. About 10 minutes later, an announcement was made in the stadium, and there was boos.
The Nationals won the series opener 7-3 on Thursday night.

Nationals: RHP Stephen Strasburg (thoracic outlet surgery) will play his second rehab game Sunday in Class A Fredericksburg with a goal of 60-70. … INF Carter Kieboom underwent Tommy John surgery on Friday. Kieboom was on the injured list before the season and has been dealing with a ulnar collateral ligament sprain and flexor strain in his throwing elbow.
