Zodiac Killer was not identified as The Case Breakers would have you believe—at least according to the police who searched for the person at the time, but Case Breakers said that the police refused to even investigate possible connections.
Riverside PD told TMZ…The assumptions of the investigative agency that came out with the big case on Wednesday may be wrong Gary Francis Post Is an elusive serial killer.
RPD’s PIO, Ryan Reelsback, Case Breakers cites the 1966 murder Cherie Joe Bates The team stated that the evidence they gathered from research documents was the basis for their conclusions.
Railsback said that based on the letters they received at the time, they initially suspected that Zodiac was responsible for it-just a lie. Railsback said that if there is any evidence that Poste is theirs… the troops will be happy to provide such information. But they did not, because he was not.
This leads us Frank Falson, A former SFPD homicide inspector who worked with the famous Dave Toski -Early in charge of the Zodiac case-Once Toschi left the photo, who took over the file. He also told us… he believed Post was not that person.
His reason-Post’s name, as far as his memory is concerned, has never been a strong suspect among the hundreds of names they have archived. This did not sound the alarm for him.
But, here’s the thing… Case Breakers told TMZ that they contacted Riverside PD and asked them to perform a DNA test on the victim’s hair and compare it with Gary Francis Poste’s DNA. PD refused. Case Breakers told TMZ and PD told them that they believed that the murderer was a native of Riverside County and would not consider anyone outside the county. Case Breakers said the PD told them that they were “100% sure” that the killer was not a zodiac killer, and the police repeatedly refused to investigate possible connections.
Falzon pointed to a lot of indirect evidence that he believes the case destroyers used to identify Poste as the zodiac sign-in FF’s view, this is not enough to draw such a big inference. In his eyes…recognizing the signs of the zodiac always comes down to fingerprints and handwriting-and according to what he saw in CB’s analysis, these factors do not exist.
That guy Toschi has always considered a possible candidate…a Arthur Ray Allen, Who died, but it has never been clearly proven to be the zodiac sign.
