Richard Leeson’s goal helped Brazil beat Saudi Arabia 3-1

Saitama, Japan (Associated Press)-Richard Leeson scored two goals, and Brazil beat the men’s football Olympics 3-1 to advance to the quarterfinals. Saudi Arabia on Wednesday.

Brazil ranks first in Group D (including Germany and Côte d’Ivoire), but needs to win or draw to advance.

Matthew Scuna gave Brazil the lead in the 14th minute, but Abdullah Almari equalized in the 27th minute and confirmed the goal through a video review.

Richard Lison, who played for Everton, scored a header in the 76th inning and scored the second goal in stoppage time. He now has five goals in the Tokyo Olympics.

The Brazilian did not have Neymar to compete. Neymar helped the team win the gold medal at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics five years ago, but played with the senior team that recently participated in the America’s Cup. Brazil’s Tokyo Olympic roster includes Danny Alves as one of its older exceptions.

Saudi Arabia Has been eliminated.
