Israeli army shoots and kills Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Ackley In the occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
On Wednesday, she was hit by a live bullet while reporting on the Israeli attack on the city of Jenin, according to the ministry and Al Jazeera reporters.
In video footage of the incident, Abu Ackley can be seen wearing a blue bulletproof jacket clearly marked “PRESS”.
Abu Akleh, 51, was born in Jerusalem. She started working for Al Jazeera in 1997 and regularly reports from the Occupied Palestinian Territory.
