“I have talked with the spokesperson and I am very confident that she will take decisive action next week,” Omar told CNN’s State of the Union address.

“When I entered Congress for the first time, I worried that I would not be allowed to take the oath of office because of the prohibition on wearing a headscarf. Pelosi or Bobert did not immediately comment.

House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy defended Bobert last week, saying that she had publicly and personally apologized to Omar.

Omar did not say what actions Pelosi might take.

The Democratic-controlled U.S. House of Representatives voted last month to formally condemn Republican Rep. Paul Gosall for posting an animated video on Twitter depicting him killing progressive congresswoman Alexandra Ocasio Cortes.

It also stripped Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene of her committee position earlier this year because she has made statements in support of violence against Democrats in the past.

Bobert, Gosar, and Green are all hardline conservatives and outspoken allies of former President Donald Trump.
