What would you call it? It can still play Switch games, but better because it can also play new games with better graphics. It still has the same form factor as the original switch. It has to be clear that it’s the next new console, not just another Switch version, but still a Switch (because it’s both portable and can be hooked up to a TV). I think switch 2 as a name does all of these things. Mixing in can be confusing. For example, wii u failed mainly because people didn’t know what it was. Playstation 2 was a success because obviously people knew it was next. All other gaming companies use numbers for good reason. Instead of trying to innovate further, they need to iterate and double down.
