Netflix develops a movie based on the friendship created by an unexpected Thanksgiving invitation

Netflix is ​​developing a Wanda Dench and Jamal Hinton have a viral opportunity to meet. The two Arizona residents met in 2016 when Danki accidentally texted Xinton instead of her grandson, inviting him to a Thanksgiving dinner. The two quickly figured it out, but the dinner invitation still existed and Hinton accepted it. Since then, they have celebrated this holiday together every year.

“We are very happy to share our story with the world,” Dench and Hinton said in a joint statement provided by Netflix. “We hope it can inspire more people to reach out and build connections that they would not normally make. We are fortunate to find true friendship from God in a wrong text message.”

Hinton also shared the news on Instagram, he wrote: “We thank each of you for your love and support during your journey over the past 6 years. We can’t wait to tell our story on the big screen!”

Abdul Williams was responsible for writing the film, and Robert Tettle and George Tillman Jr. produced the project for State Street Pictures.
