“I think freedom of expression is very important to American culture,” he said, adding — “We’re programming for a lot of people with different viewpoints, different tastes and different styles… We want to There is something for everyone, but not everything is for everyone.”
Sarandos went on to say that the decision to support Dave was actually not that hard — seeing him as a comedian of our generation, he discussed it in a nuanced, thoughtful way. Of course, this is debatable…those offended may object.

After Chappelle was attacked at the Hollywood Bowl, Netflix sent a memo to their employees — basically saying, if you find some of our content so offensive, beat it.
You can tell Netflix is sticking to the issue — not only did they allow “The Closer” to stay on their platform, but they signed more deals with Dave. Sarandos even said the backlash against not censoring DC is different than before.
He said, “This used to be a very liberal issue, so it’s an interesting time to live in…I always say how are we going to defend our content in the Middle East if we have censorship in the US ?” By the way, these comments also apply to Gervais, who has come under fire for his own transgender jokes.
RG is more direct in his material – both mocking the “new women” and describing them as “people with beards and c***s”. Likewise, he made it clear that he supports transgender rights.
