National Guard boss tested positive for COVID-19

This week, a four-star general of the Joint Chiefs of Staff was working remotely after testing positive for COVID-19.

A spokesperson said on Friday that Army General Dan Hokansen, Director of the National Guard, was quarantining himself after the test results came out.

The other members of the National Guard staff will continue to perform their duties in accordance with the existing coronavirus agreement.

“All personnel will continue to be tested as required,” Wayne V. Hall of the National Guard Media Operations Department said in a statement.

General Mark Milly, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and several other Pentagon leaders were quarantined in October 2020 after contacting a Coast Guard Admiral. The Admiral tested positive for COVID-19.
