Naomi Judd’s public memorial to air on CMT

CMT announced Wednesday that, in partnership with the Judd family, a public memorial service will be aired on the network as a non-commercial special on Sunday at 6 p.m. EST.

Live festivities will take place at the Grand Ole Opry House in Lyman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee.

“We are so honored to work with Wynonna and Ashley on this live celebration of life for their mother Naomi,” a statement about the event read. “While we all continue to deeply mourn the loss of such a legendary artist, we are honored to honor her legacy in the perfect location with the country community, her friends, family and so many fans around the world: The Mother of Country Music Chapel. This special will celebrate her timeless voice, unforgettable spirit and the tremendous impact she has left on our genre through the best form of healing we have – music.”
