MEXICO CITY (Reuters) – Mexican tycoon Ricardo Salinas Priego said on Wednesday he had decided not to pursue a bid for Citigroup’s Mexican business, which was sold earlier this year.
“I was considering buying Banamex and decided against it,” Salinas said on Twitter (NYSE: ). “I prefer to invest in my Banco Azteca customers and compete (and beat) with people who buy into the issue,” he said.
