Another mass shooting appears to have occurred a day after a man on the East Coast claimed 10 lives – and now, it’s in California…in a church, too.
Several units were responding to the shooting at Geneva Presbyterian Church in Laguna Woods, California, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office broke Sunday. A suspect was detained at the scene and a possible weapon was also found, they said.
So far, they say a total of six people have been shot – four in critical condition and one with minor injuries… A sixth was pronounced dead on arrival. Authorities said all the victims were adults and those alive were being taken to local hospitals.
No other details have emerged, but roads around the church have been closed as first responders rushed to the scene of the shooting. It’s unclear what the motivation was.
Anyway, it’s another sad day in America…and it’s actually 24 hours after turning 18 Peyton Gendron More than 13 people were allegedly shot dead, kill 10 Among them…the majority of them are black. Authorities said they suspected it was an ethnically driven attack.
The shooter is also believed to have live-streamed the atrocity. Gendron has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder – he will return to court on Thursday and is currently under suicide watch.
