Malaysia’s May CPI rises 2.8% y/y, beating expectations Reuters

KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) – Malaysia’s consumer price index (CPI) rose 2.8% in May from a year earlier, government data showed on Friday.

The increase beat the 2.6 percent forecast of 17 economists polled by Reuters. In April, the index rose 2.3%.
