Ludacris‘ manager, Chaka Zuluduring the Atlanta shooting, who feared for his life and actually fought back, allegedly in self-defense, putting the music king in critical condition.
We’ve spoken to multiple sources who reviewed surveillance footage recorded outside APT 4B’s restaurant on Sunday. We were told that Chaka, his daughter and another friend were leaving an event when they were walking through the parking lot when another man approached Chaka.
Our sources say that in the video, Chaka and another man started talking, but things escalated and the conversation became more intense visually… while the other man allegedly put his hand on his on the belt.
We were told that a female bystander pushed the other man away from Chaka, but he didn’t back down…then things got really heated when Chaka approached the man again, he seemed to hit Chaka with the chest, Chaka Grab the man’s collar.
From there, our sources say, a group of about 3 or 4 other men — who had been standing in the parking lot with the man confronting Chaka — got involved, rushed in, and then punched Chaka to the ground through Kick and stomp.
We were told one of the group walked between the two cars, pulled out a gun and fired at least two shots. Chaka, who was also heavily armed, could be seen back on his feet and fired at least one shot in return, our source said.
TMZ gets dramatic 911 call from the fielda man who claimed to be a restaurant security guard worked there to help Chaka, who was shot in the exchange.
A source close to Chaka told CNN he was shot at least once – the bullet was close to his heart – and he is in critical condition.
As for what started the verbal altercation… we’re told it’s unclear, although it may have been some sort of controversy about the man not being allowed to party.
A 23-year-old man was also killed in the incident, and our sources say it is unclear who shot him.
