The trailer for Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan starring Laal Singh Chaddha was recently pulled. It received a huge response and is expected to be one of the biggest films of the year. It is the official remake of the critically acclaimed Hollywood movie Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks.
Karina Kapoor Khan, who plays the female lead in the film, has revealed details about the film’s production. She also revealed that her son Jehangir played a major role as she became pregnant while filming the film. The actress shared the teaser on Instagram, writing: “A pandemic, two lockdowns and a kid…one of my most special movies…also because my Jeh baba is a part of it (in my belly). Thank you Advait and Aamir for not only me but both of us… something I will always cherish. Finally to you… #LaalSinghChaddha.”
Kareena’s son Jeh was born on February 21 last year.
Earlier, Aamir Khan also revealed that the filming process was complicated. He said: “While the rest of the world was dealing with Corona, we were dealing with Corona and the heroine of the movie, Karina, and she was pregnant, which was another complication, so we were like a gust of wind that pushed us to the other direction.”
The film, directed by Advait Chandan, opens in theaters on August 11. It is produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Kiran Rao and Viacom18 Studios.
