DENVER — Wide receiver for the Broncos Jerry Jedi He was arrested Thursday on charges related to domestic violence in suburban Denver and is being held at the Arapahoe County Jail next to the team’s training center.
ThursdayThe Broncos, a 2020 first-round pick from Alabama, have been detained on suspicion of second-degree criminal tampering with a domestic violence enhancer, a misdemeanor, the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office said.
Arapahoe County Sheriff Tyler Brown held a news conference Thursday night to discuss the case.
Here’s what’s known ahead of the press conference:
• Thursday The sheriff’s spokesman, Deputy John Bateman, said he was arrested in a “sick for help” around noon.
• Sheriff spokesman Ginger Delgado said a report on the events leading to Jeudy’s arrest could not be released Thursday as the case is still under investigation.
• Delgado said domestic violence enhancers are added to cases when the victim is someone who has or has an intimate relationship with the accused. Because of domestic violence intensifiers, Thursday cannot be released on bail until appearing before a judge, she said.
