The device he used was not connected to any database, and the case mainly involved the theft of the electricity consumed by the so-called “cryptocurrency mining”.

The Polish police representative added that as the investigation continues, the case has been transferred to the Warsaw District Attorney’s Office to determine whether there has been a crime. Experts are now working to assess the loss of the police department based on the amount of electricity used to mine digital currency.
