Investing.com – IBM (NYSE: ) reported fourth-quarter results on Monday that beat analysts’ expectations and topped revenue estimates.
IBM announced EPS of $3.35 on revenue of $16.7B. Analysts polled by Investing.com expected earnings of $3.3 per share on revenue of $16.09B.
IBM stock is down 3% from the start of the year and is still down 15.61% from its 52-week high of $152.84 set on June 10, 2021. They outperformed the S&P Global 100, which was down 5.05% from the start of the year.
IBM shares rose 6.99% in after-hours trading after the report.
IBM eyes earnings of other major IT divisions this month
IBM’s report comes after TSMC’s earnings beat on Jan. 13, with the company reporting EPS of $1.16 on revenue of $15.85B, compared with forecast EPS of $1.12 on revenue of $15.69 B dollars.
ASML ADR beat estimates on Wednesday, reporting fourth-quarter EPS of $4.98 on revenue of $5.66B, compared with expectations for EPS of $4.25 on revenue of $5.85B.
