Honestly, I got the script first without knowing what movie it was, and I jumped right in because I liked the script. Then when I found out that it was made for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, that was an important cherry. I’ve never been under pressure to put on his shoes because those are some really big shoes that need to be filled. But from my perspective, I’m doing my best to convey what Mr. Anees and the producers believe in me with this brand new film, new characters and script, which contains some elements of the world of Bhool Bhulaiyaa that you will miss.

Your thoughts on being part of such a huge franchise…

I was overwhelmed by the way the title song took the country by storm. We did a one-of-a-kind launch for the song in 4 different cities and the crowd gave it so much love, I’m glad the song’s twisty steps have gone viral. People are hooked on that dance move.

As an actor, all I can ask for is a platform to showcase my art. Whether it’s OTT or the big screen, the experience of telling a different story is my only destination. The fact that consumers all over the world are just one click away from my movies is like watching a movie in theaters experience a different magic than life’s blockbusters, both extraordinary.

Plus, stardom is a dynamic concept that always comes and goes, but my family always helps me stay grounded and remember my roots, so my focus is always on my craft, trying to be the best OK

Do you have a group of friends who will give you an honest opinion? Who’s going to tell you honestly if you don’t do well in a movie?

My friends are very honest with me and my family is even more honest with me. My parents and sister watched every movie and I got honest feedback from them. They keep my feet on the ground. Do you remember your first audition?

Honestly, I owe my first audition to social media. In college, I was browsing Facebook and I used to follow all the audition and casting pages, so when I came across this post, I found a post for a little boy that needed to match my profile, so I went, and, by the grace of God, I was chosen. Only then did I find out that it was for the movie Pyaar Ka Punchnama and then everything that happened was in front of the audience.
