“Hey, Disney” voice assistant will land in Disneyland in 2022

You don’t need to book a trip to Florida to try Disney’s Amazon-based voice assistant. Disney has disclose “Hey, Disney” will appear in a hotel room in Disneyland sometime in 2022. Just like in Walt Disney World, it will be used with Alexa in the Echo speakers in your room and handle requests from facilities to stories and jokes.

Visitors will see more technology when visiting the park because Magic Belt+ Wearable devices will also arrive at Disneyland in 2022. You can use the wristband to enter the park, shop, or otherwise perform non-contact operations, but they will also use a combination of lights, tactile feedback, and gesture control to enhance your experience in certain areas. The interaction will be specific to Disneyland, so You don’t have to worry about the “magic” moments that are re-interpreted.

Both of these additions can save time and may help, because lingering epidemics still make some people feel uneasy about physical contact. In a way, this is about renewing the image of the park itself. Disney clearly hopes to portray the park as being tech-savvy, and a combination of voice control and wrist-worn devices may help.
