“Obviously, my health has changed a lot since I got pregnant and gave birth,” they said. “I started getting very, very, very sick.”
Last year, they had their first child, son Ender, with partner Alev Aydin.
Since then, they said, the star has been “hospitalized several times for anaphylaxis and other things” that led to their diagnosis of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Sjögren’s syndrome, mast cell activation syndrome and postural Orthostatic tachycardia syndrome.
Halsey said they knew people had noticed the heart monitors they were wearing and said the underlying cause of the health problem was still being investigated.
“It could be another autoimmune disease, and I know I’ve had autoimmune issues for most of my life, especially endometriosis,” the singer said. “But it’s gotten worse since I had Ender.”
They assured followers that they are rehearsing for their upcoming “Love and Power” tour.
“I’m really excited, I’m really confident that I can do it in a healthy way, that I can do the best for you all,” Halsey said.
