Gunman shoots dead 13 at Russian school Gun Violence News

At least 13 people, including seven children, were killed when a gunman opened fire at a school in the city of Izhevsk, 960 kilometers (600 miles) east of the capital Moscow, authorities said.

The Russian Investigative Committee identified the gunman as Artem Kazantsev, 34, a graduate of the school he attacked. He shot himself at the 88th school in Izhevsk, west of the Ural Mountains in the Udmurt region, authorities said on Monday.

Udmurt Governor Alexander Brechalov said the gunman, a resident of Izhevsk, was registered in the psychoneurological ward.

“There are indications that he adheres to Nazi ideology because he wears a T-shirt with a swastika and a balaclava,” Brecharov said.
