Gloria Estefan Responds to Jennifer Lopez’s ‘Halftime’ Comments


Gloria Estefan didn’t end up performing alongside Jennifer Lopez and Shakira in the Super Bowl LIV halftime show, but she still has some ideas.

She said she turned down the chance to join the duo on the show and would only come out to perform the opening lyrics of her hit “Conga” if she agreed.

“Imagine what J. Lo would say if I were third?” said Estefan, who also joked that she doesn’t want to be on a diet in December in order to get ready for the Super Bowl in February.

Guest performers by Lopez and Shakira include J Balvin, Bad Bunny and Lopez’s child, Amy Muniz.

Estefan appeared on Cohen’s show with her “Father of the Bride” actor Andy Garcia.
