In the next chapter of the “Ghostbusters” universe, director Jason Reitman tells the story of a bankrupt single mother (Kelly Kuhn) taking her two children (McKenna Grace and Finn) · Wolfhard) moving to a small town connected to the past.
The trailer showed the children excavating artifacts from the “Ghostbusters” in time. Strange things have happened in their new hometown, and they may need the wisdom (and equipment) left by their grandfather to stop it.
Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts will reinterpret the characters in the original film.
Reitman co-written the script with Gil Kenan.
“Ghostbusters: Afterlife” has been postponed many times due to the Covid-19 pandemic and is scheduled to be released in November.
