“Friends” actor Mike Hagertydied in hospital after a strong adverse reaction to antibiotics that left him in a coma… TMZ has learned.
A source close to Mike told TMZ…he contracted an infection on one of his legs in April. He eventually recovered, but still didn’t feel 100 percent.
We’re told he’s about to start filming the second season of “Somebody Somewhere,” but his energy levels are still low…so his doctor sent him to the hospital for a checkup.
Sadly, things got worse. He was given antibiotics and he responded badly…causing him to have a seizure and go into a coma.
As we reported, Mike passed away in the hospital last week. This has nothing to do with COVID…Mike tested negative.Mike’s “Somebody Somewhere” co-star Bridget Everett announced his death.

Mike is best known for his recurring roles on “Friends”…and his role on HBO’s “Somebody Somewhere.” He has appeared on many other shows…including “Boston Legal,” “Cheers,” “Glee,” “CSI,” “Seinfeld,” and more.
He is 67 years old.
