Elena Dale Dorn scored all 15 points in the first half as the Washington Mystics beat the Connecticut Suns 71-63 on Sunday.
Ariel Atkins and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough each scored 10 points for Washington (11-7).
Delle Donne converted a 3-pointer, then hit a 3-pointer about a minute later to lead 14-9 midway through the first quarter, with the Mystics leading the rest of the game.
Connecticut scored 6 straight points nearly 2 minutes later to close the deficit to 8, but the Suns couldn’t recover from Alysha Clark’s 4-point 7-0 spurt with 6 minutes left in the first half.
Jonquel Jones had 15 points and 16 rebounds for the Suns (12-4).
Connecticut entered the WNBA’s second-best game with 87.9 points per game, shot just 36.7 percent from the field (22-for-60), and was limited to its lowest scoring output of the season.
