DeAndre Carter leads the Pro Bowl to vote for returning experts

After the first batch of votes were released publicly on Wednesday, Washington wide receiver DeAndre Carter led the NFL’s return expert vote in the Pro Bowl-reflecting the 28-year-old player as the Burgundy team and the gold medal team in the special team Effective year.

Carter signed with Washington in the offseason and won 35,957 votes to become an NFC returnee. This is more than the 29,561 votes of Pittsburgh’s Ray Ray McLeod-AFC kickback player.

Washington rookie flute player Cameron Chisman also got the most votes in the NFC with 27,778 votes.

This season, Carter led the league with 638 yards on 25 ball returns-17 of which he ran at least 20 yards. In Week 4 against the Atlanta Falcons, Carter returned a touchdown from 101 yards off the kick. The scoring was Washington’s first touchdown kick-off return since 2019, when Steven Sims also took a man home.

Carter has proven to be an important contributor to Washington-even contributed to Washington’s passing offense. After Curtis Samuel and Dammy Brown were injured, Carter was transferred to Terry McLaughlin’s starting lineup and has been able to produce.

He received 14 times for 219 yards and 3 touchdowns, the latter of which were completed in the past three weeks.

Last year, two players in Washington — defensive end Chase Young and guard Brandon Shelf — entered the Pro Bowl. Due to the pandemic, the actual competition did not take place, but the list was still made.

This season, fans must vote for the Pro Bowl before December 16, and the list will be announced on Monday, December 20. The game will be held on ESPN’s Las Vegas on Sunday, February 6th at 3pm.

Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor leads all players with 81,087 votes. Taylor had five touchdowns in the game against the Buffalo Bills.

Cooper Cooper of the Rams (80,673 votes), Travis Kells of Kansas City (79,910), Miles Garrett of Cleveland (76,064) and Trevon Digg of Dallas Sri Lanka (75,637) entered the top five.
