Dana White Not sweating over UFC heavyweight champ contract drama Francis Naganuu …Tell TMZ Sports He has been dealing with a similar problem for the past 2 years!
We talk to UFC honcho ahead of 35-year-old Ngannou facing interim heavyweight title Cyril Gan On Saturday at UFC 270… The Predator said it might be his last fight.
why? Ngannou wants more cash.
We asked Dana what his organization thinks about Francis’ future.
“I’ve been with people on contract dramas for 20 years. It’s part of the business. I honestly don’t know where we’re going to end up after Saturday,” White said. We’ll see what happens, I’m sure We’ll fix this one way or another. “
And, White personally says, everything is cool for him and his championship fighters.
“Francis and I have had our moments over the past few years. I ran into him at dinner a few weeks ago and we had a great conversation. It was fun because we needed to talk. We needed to see each other , the universe created it and it happened.”
“We’ll see how these things play out. I don’t blame Francis, but the less intelligent people around him.”
Dana (probably) refers to the representative of Ngannou, Mark Martin …with whom he has had arguments in the past.
As for the actual fight… Dana told us they’ll break the previous record for tickets (money spent on tickets) at the Honda Center in SoCal.
“We hold the record for largest gate in Anaheim. 3.5, this one is 5 million. So, yeah. It’s sold out. This place is going to rock! We haven’t been to California in a while. It’s going to be pleasure.”
