Brook Shields said that Barbara Walters’ interview in her teens was “actually a crime”

In a conversation with Dax Shepard “Armchair Expert” In the podcast, Shields recalled an interview with Walters when she was 15 years old, after her famous Calvin Klein jeans campaign. Shields reflected on the series of questions Walters asked her, which she now felt was intrusive. These include, “What is your size?” and “Do you have any secrets about your mother?”

“This is actually a crime,” Shields told Shepard. “This is not news.”

Shepard agreed and called it “crazy.”

A teenager Shields asked, “Do you want to know what is the relationship between me and my Calvins? There is nothing” advertising campaigns made her modeling career develop rapidly and sparked controversy.

“I was naive, I didn’t expect anything,” Shields recalled. “I don’t think it has anything to do with underwear. I don’t think it has anything to do with sex. I would say this to my sister. No one can stand between me and my sister.”

“If they were going to make a pun, they wouldn’t explain it to me,” she added. “It didn’t bother me. It didn’t enter my mind because it was any obvious sexual act, sexualized in any way.”

Since being interviewed by Walters, Shields has taken many photos with the 92-year-old journalist who has retired from public life.

CNN has contacted a representative of Shields and asked if she had told Walters that the interview disturbed her.
