Beyoncé unveils ‘Break My Soul,’ the dance song you need

Beyonce released her new single Earlier Monday, it was safe to say that “Break My Soul” played a role in breaking the internet.

With its house-music vibe, dance music marks Bey Hive (as her devout fanbase is known) ready to go.

“You won’t hurt my soul” beyonce singing In the chorus with the lyrics, let people know that she is fully aware of her power.

“I dropped my hair/because I lost my mind,” she sings. “Bey’s back and I slept well at night / Queen in front and doms in back / Ain’t takin’ no flicks but the whole group fell apart.”

It also reunites Queen Bey with bouncing music legend Big Freedia, who appeared on Beyoncé’s 2016 hit “Formation.”

“It feels surreal to be on the track again with Queen Beyonce,” Great Friedia tweeted“I am honored to be (part of) this special time and I am forever grateful to the Lord. Someone please catch me.”

The superstar announced Monday that the song would be released at midnight, but it was released unexpectedly early on Tidal, the streaming service owned by her husband, rapper Jay-Z.

“Break My Soul” was the first single her upcoming ‘Renaissance’ album It will be released on July 29.

In 2020, Beyoncé released the single “Black Parade” in honor of Junteenth.

The Grammy winner’s last visual album, Black Is King, was released the same year as a companion project to her curated album The Lion King: The Gift. She voiced Nora’s character in Disney’s 2019 remake of The Lion King.

Her last full-length album was 2016’s Lemonade.
