As the lockdown eases, L’Oréal’s beauty product sales surge Reuters

PARIS (Reuters)-Maybelline’s owner, L’Oréal, said on Thursday that with the easing of the COVID-19 lockdown, the cosmetics group has joined the fashion brand, benefiting from the booming consumer demand in China and the United States.

This French group also owns brands such as Lancome and produces Armani cosmetics. After excluding exchange rate fluctuations and acquisitions, comparable sales from April to June increased by 33.5%.

This is higher than the year-on-year sales growth of 10.2% a quarter ago, when L’Oréal stated that it has benefited as people start to socialize more and go out in costumes.
