amber heard in her with Johnny Depp — but her legal team must be… Specifically, Elaine Breidhooft.
It’s been a stressful week for the Heard team…at least that seems to be the general consensus online, with many noticing what seemed obvious – namely that Ms Bredehoft had a hard time following the redirect Camila VazquezLaser focus cross-check of AH.
If you watched the video on Tuesday (Amber’s last day in the stands), you could definitely see the frustration of Vasquez as he kept going against Bredehoft’s questions…while the judge upheld quite a few questions, almost to the point where EB could barely Get to speak up.
In fact, Breidhooft seems to acknowledge the difficulties of the moment…apparently she’s looking at her thoughts/thinking of ways to ask questions without question. She literally said, “I’m trying, I’m trying”… In the end, the redirect wasn’t too successful.
After Bredehoft completed the redirect, Amber hurried out of the courtroom…after the judge told her she could step down and rejoin her lawyer. Frankly, Amber seems pissed.
There are also rumours – unsubstantiated, mind you – that AH and her team were bickering and yelling in court when the cameras weren’t rolling. Can’t tell if this is true, but this seems to lead most people to believe AH and co. It was backed by lawyers throughout the trial…and it’s likely to dominate internally.
Which brings us to the fact that Elaine seems to have some sympathy… TikTok and elsewhere say she and other Heard lawyers are looking down a lot of the time – some obvious Depp supporters even say they feel For EB, it showed she faced an uphill battle and a client that wasn’t easy to protect — at least that’s how they read it.
Of course, we’re sure Elaine herself would vehemently disagree with that characterization — and, more importantly…it’s up to the jury who has the edge now and who wins.
While many may have argued that Amber’s testimony was sloppy in solidifying her defense — others said her team’s witnesses have since provided more effective support for her claims that Johnny was abusive/controlling in their relationship.
The predecessor of Jingdong, Ellen Barkin, testified that he once threw a wine bottle at her and was jealous. Additionally, other AH witnesses testified that Johnny witnessed Amber’s injuries and/or actual beatings…if the jury thinks he even hit her once, he loses.
In other words, it’s anyone’s ball game at the moment…despite Tuesday’s result.
